Colton has been playing music professionally in Los Angeles for over a decade and has continually expanded his skillset during this time. His career began with extensive studies of upright bass in jazz and classical music, which still serve as the foundation of his musical background and understanding, under the mentorship of multi-Grammy nominated pianist and composer David Benoit. Since then he has expanded his musical repertoire throughout multiple genres, traveling the world performing and writing songs.
Colton has been putting his musicality into practice as he works as a producer, songwriter, and music director to make his vision of music a reality. His work can be heard in collaboration with Sony, Hans Zimmer, Mutli-Platinum recording artists, American Idol, Tom Ford, Pepsi Co., the NFL, the US Navy, and more. Colton has found his passion is collaborating with other talented artists and using his knowledge and skill set to bring the music that they dream up to life.
